Chirag Kapoor and Vranda Dhall both desired a beach wedding, and knew Thailand was an attractive option, thanks to its close proximity to India and the number of qualified wedding planners available. The couple were impressed by the flexibility given by Novotel Hua Hin Cha Am Beach Resort & Spa when it came to indoor and outdoor event set-ups. Newlywed Vranda shares her fulfilling experience.

Why did you pick this specific hotel?

“Because it was the only property with an ocean view from all the accommodations. Moreover, the lawns, poolside and beach venues were all interlinked, so it was easy to move from one to the other.”

What theme did you choose for the entire wedding?

“A pastel theme with a butterfly element to match my mehendi and bridal attire.” 

Which event was most enjoyable?

“The poolside party was one of the major highlights.Everyone had a relaxed and super fun time.”

Which fashion designer did you work with?

“I customised my own outfits with my sister, who is a fashion designer, and my mum. One had a butterfly blouse, as I didn’t want to appear too traditional.”

Did you have custom-made jewellery as well?

“They were all customised from Shiva Jewellers in Delhi to match my outfits. My mother provided the designs.”

Why would you recommend Thailand as a wedding destination for other couples?

“It is the perfect place for a wedding, as the hotels truly understand the concept of Indian celebrations, and all the different things that go into it.”
